Living in alignment with Love #14

 

 

Honesty is a powerful path that I have chosen along my journey to create a greater life and to be in alignment with the love within me. Being truthful to myself provides me amazing inner power and freedom. This is what I will show you in this post.

When we speak of honesty, we usually refer the word to being honest with others. We never refer to being honest with ourselves. Like everything that you want to really experience in this lifetime, the true power comes from within. If you want to be true with others, you must start by being true with yourself first. When you take that first step, then things begin to change tremendously in your world and you evolve in amazing ways.

We often avoid honesty because we fear that our truth will scare others. We think that a few lies is better than losing a friend and prefer denying ourselves. But the reality is, the person who is not able to accept your truth, and consequently who you are, should not be in your circle.

No one has the right to judge you as judgment is reserved for the awakening unconscious. Judging a person does not define who they are, it defines who you are

A life full of truth and honesty is a life of absolute freedom. You can really feel this freedom when you live this way. It's a boundless experience of ease and ecstasy. This means that you are completely independent of the good or bad opinion of others on how you are.

When you experience the truthful way of living, you will find that you less fear the reaction of other. Living in fear is the worst way to live.

For me, the best way to live a truthful life is by being honest with myself. This is how I was able to discover who I really was. It takes courage to say to myself that as from today my word is law. It takes courage to say to myself that as from today I will not find excuses to explain something. It takes courage to say to myself that as from today I will no longer be a people-pleaser. If I do not want to do something, I do not do it. It has saved me from endless disasters. I can tell you that it's a very powerful state of mind. Don't worry if your ego says the opposite. You never have to sacrifice your well-being for others no matter what. Sacrifice is the ego sense of its own greatness. If you want to do something for someone, give, never sacrifice. And do what you have promised to do. You give power to your words.

So be honest to yourself, do what pleases you and hold your promises. You will find that things become clearer for you and ahead stands the life you really want to live.

For me, there is great beauty in living life with honesty because you find yourself with who you really are, that is the divine person within you !

Living in alignment with Love #13

 

Living unconditional love is the divine way of living love. If you can get to that divine state, then you can reach the infinity within you and feel that pure energy of unconditional love. Unconditional love is a concept that the mind cannot grab, it is not something you look at and you feel that love, but a feeling that comes from within your heart. But how do I get to that divine state? This is what I will show you in this post. 

If you are cultivating the idea that God is outside of you, if you see God as old man, dressed in white, with white woolly hair and sitting on his throne surrounded by a river of fire, counting your good and bad actions, you will never be able to feel this power of unconditional love within you. 

In order to reach to that divine way of living, I had to internalized the concept of God within me before feeling him in my whole body. I had to move from the ego's definition of God. There are several spiritual leaders out there like Wayne Dyer who have used the acronym “Edging God Out” for the word EGO, meaning that if you want to feel God within you, you must bring to yourself the idea of God inside of you and not outside of you which is the ego's definition. The ego will protest because he cannot accept you are God or a part of God.

So, by moving from the ego's definition of God, you move from all the manifestation of the ego such as fear. By feeling God within you, you can start to say to yourself : I am a divine being, I am infinite, immortal, universal and eternal. Moving to that state of unconditional love is the same thing as enlightenment. You never really reach that state, it's not a goal, it's a perpetual unfolding of your growth. 

The first thing in order to go for this unconditional love thing is to bring God back home, bring him back into your heart, imagine God within you and by doing this, you empower yourself, you pull the energy of God within you. With God, you start to accept who you are and where you are. You start to love yourself unconditionally. There is no other path to that unconditional love if you can't love yourself unconditionally first. 

By living with that God force within you, you can then express that God force outwardly. Try this exercise during the day : I am the God force from within, I can imagine it, so I can feel it. 

Reaching that state of unconditional love means that your well-being depends upon your own state of mind and not of outside circumstances. You must be able to love your enemy, love a bad situation, love a bad relationship without reacting to it. 

This is the second step, feeling God from within means that you don't judge outside manifestations, you don't have limiting beliefs. You can choose but you don't judge. God is not a guy judging the world, judging war in this world, judging poverty of this world or judging the rich people of this world. God is just observing the world and accepting that each one of us live the experience of life that he/she chooses to live. From God's perspective there is no good nor bad. Everything is perfect! But from the ego's perspective, the world is dreadful.

So to simply try to feel that unconditional love, you must try to see the world from God's perspective. Strange, isn't it? 

This means that if you want to reach that feeling, you must try to go for a compassionate understanding of this planet. 

I think that you must also grasp the idea that spiritual growth is not necessary convenient and it's not necessary comfortable, not only you have to discard a lot of beliefs and definitions such as God outside of you, but you must go inside of yourself to discover the reality of who you are, to discover that you are God from within and this is not that easy. As you begin to look into yourself, this create a bit of discomfort because it's difficult to learn to control the ego and discipline the mind without it reacting. 

So by being detached to what's going on outside of yourself, you allow unconditional love to flow from within you. 

The journey to unconditional love is really exciting, you learn to love yourself, you learn to love others and especially your enemies. You learn to pull yourself from negative energy. 

And as I said earlier it is a perpetual unfolding of your experience. You reach that state by feeling the road to it.

There’s a great gap between love and true love. True love knows no depth. It’s an endless tunnel, it’s a stream that carries you far beyond. It embraces all that is. True love isn’t ordinary but extraordinary. It doesn’t come around often, you must go for it by leaving your comfort zone.

True love is a look.

It lights your journey with me.

True love is a diamond.

It’s my love for you.

True love is a red rose.

It’s my passion for you.

True love is a poem.

It’s my romantic melody.

True love is a child.

It’s the eternity of our path.

True love is a sacred flame.
It burns forever.

A stranger who smiles at you, a friend that you haven't seen such a long time, whoever  you fall in love with, what is important, is in the spontaneity of feeling and the magic that it brings to you. This is what I share with you in this poem.

Falling in love with you,
It’s light that enters my life.

Falling in love with you,
It's my heart that vibrates within you.

Falling in love with you,
It's greater intensity of all my senses.

Falling in love with you,
It's the colors that seem brighter.

Falling in love with you,
It's the sound of nature more vibrant and resonant.

Falling in love with you,
It's the magnetic attraction of our two beings.

Falling in love with you,
It's fun to dance in the rain.

Falling in love with you,
It's moment of tenderness and affection.

It's sharing laughter and tears.

It's moment of carelessness.

Living in alignment with Love #12

 

If you want to sense love within you, then start a new life by living as a hero. In this post I will show you how to become your own hero of your dream.

We have all felt inspired by watching our parents way of doing things, a friend, a teacher or a celebrity. It is good to have models, but when you live your life as someone else, you quickly lose sight of who you are. You will never be a perfect imitation of someone else. 

I think I need to be inspired, but working to become my own hero is a must in life. I must try to be the person I feel I will respect and admire. If you want to live as a hero in your life, the shortest path to get there is to change your thinking habits and take control of your life and you will discover a secret on your path : you will feel happier and you attract more love in your life.

To be my own hero, I had to start feeling responsible for my life. This first step is crucial. There is no other way to be your own hero if you miss that first step. To live my life heroically, this does not mean being Superman, Batman or other movie stars. This simply means being able to face the challenges of life courageously. 

My great heroic moments are when I face my fears. I have known times in my life when, if I had the choice, I would have hidden myself behind a bush, but I chose to confront those uncomfortable moments, This is the way I started to live my life as a hero. 

But to live authentically as a hero in my life, I was inspired by the book of Stephen Covey “The 7 Habits”. I did the following exercise: I imagined my funeral? The funeral procession, family, friends, colleagues, opponents, and all my admirers gathered there for a last farewell. 

Your mind will tell you that it's a bit morbid. If you want to listen to him, he will be right. But if you do not listen to your mind, then, this is one of the most powerful exercise to do if you want to see the world from different view.

So, I imagined that I was attending my own funeral. I saw people who loved me around the coffin. The questions I asked myself in the moment were: what do I want each of them to tell about me? What kind of husband, I would like their words to reflect. What colleague I was? What are the special characters I would like them to find in me? 

In doing this exercise seriously, I was able to pull out my deepest values. I discovered that living his values was the most fundamental joy in life. 

This is the exercise that I invite you to do before reading what I have written for myself. Find a quiet moment, close your phone, turn off the TV, close your eyes and ... See the end, your end ... Then write your speech. What would you like people to say about you? What would you like your name and your memory evoke in the minds of others. 

Living in alignment with love is all about having values !

Poem : The story of my ego

 

I was inspired by Rabindranath Tagore to write this poem. After telling you softly the ideal of my soul, here is the story of my ego.

You came into this physical plane,
to live the most amazing experience,
unconditional love and well-being!

But what holds you back to live that magic ?
asked the Lord.

I promise you Lord,
Day in and day out,
a companion follows me in my shadow,
a companion I cannot get rid of,
He makes the dust rise
from the earth with his swagger,
who prevents me from seeing the light,
who stops each feeling of my heart.

Who is he?
asked the Lord.

I'm afraid to introduce him to you.
He wears many masks.

I'm having a hard time to tame him.
I'm ashamed of his pride.
I'm ashamed of his behavior.

Who is that mysterious companion?
asked the Lord again.

He is my little ego !!
Yes my little ego !!

And the Lord said to me:

Let go of your need to judge others.
Let go of your need to be right.
Let go of your material needs.
Let go of your identification to your success.
And let go of what others think of you.

This is the path to feel free from him
And live the fullness of your love
and your well-being.

Living in alignment with Love #11

 

The idea of boundaries is often misunderstood in a loving relationship. You cannot live on your loved one day in and day out. Space is important for healthy loving relationship. In this post, I will show you why.

In relationships, we often think that setting boundaries with our loved ones is a bad thing or just useless. But in my experience, I have seen that if I wanted to create a happy, healthy and fulfilling relationship, one of the most essential element was to set boundaries. It is also one of the components that allows you to live in alignment with the love within you.

If you want to live a fulfilling life, you must seek to become a master at setting limits, and not to become a slave of it. In other words, my limits end where the limits of my loved ones begin.

By slave, I mean things like, fixing times to make love, to eat, to go out together. There is no surprise for one another by being a slave of boundaries. I will show you see later what I call limits.

When the limit is clearly defined and respected, we do not need walls or electric fences. The border can be crossed at times when there is a mutual understanding. However, when the border is breached in order to harm or take bad advantage, then you better change your loving partner, or leave the relationship, otherwise you will probably need walls, gates and guards.

But what are the limits I am talking about here? They are insults: I regard insults as intolerable in any type of relationship. It is an even more intolerable cruelty in a love relationship.

In the aftermath of insults, you will see criticisms. There is no better way to spoil a relationship. I always say that if I am a victim of insults or criticism that is not constructive, I leave the relationship.

Obscene gestures, rude behaviors are also included in these limits. There are also people who visit me without warning. Things like someone who calls me at night for work, not allowing me to disconnect with my day work.

Friends who always seem to need me to listen to their problems and that pump all my energy in doing so.

These are just some limits. To set effective limits, you must be able to know how you feel when you are in relationship.

Personally, there are coarse languages that I never use and I cannot stand that someone else use them in my presence.

Setting limits has nothing to do with my ego. The problem is that many of us are living without boundaries in our relationships, that we become so entangled, so symbiotic with our loving partner or other people that we have no idea about our feeling.

Love is not meant to be lived in the prison of each other but in the freedom of each other. But in my life experience, I have observed that when you respect and love yourself first and as it is said in Luke 6:31: Do to others as you would have them do to you, you find no need to set limits because you will attract into your life the people who are like you.

But as I often write in my blogs, you must first live inside of yourself what you want to live outside of yourself. All that you want to live with others lie within you. Or as said
Ghandi, you must be the change you want to see in the world.
